If you're good-looking, life just seems to be easier for you. And that's not an opinion apparently. It's fact.
A new trend on TikTok has attractive women explaining just how their "pretty privilege" has benefitted them in ways us regular-lookin' folks just wouldn't understand.
Some of the women break down the gifts and services they've received, including free Uber rides, surf lessons, $500 tickets to Lollapalooza, all totally FREE of charge, just because they're pretty.
Must be nice.
One woman said it's not all roses and sunshine being pretty, though.
TikTok user, Madeline Ford said, per the NY Post, that though women benefit from "pretty privilege," they have to put in far more effort than men in order to reap the benefits.
She says average-looking men who simply take a shower receive the same privileges and respect as highly attractive women who have to labor over their looks. "Being pretty is the rent we pay for human decency and to exist in this world," she said.
