Like we have said before, Britney Spears' Instagram is a portal into the inner workings of her daily life. Sometimes sending coded messages about the state of her conservatorship and other times she shares what is on her mind.
Most recently, Brit took a moment to discuss bikinis, getting older, and turning 40 this December.
In her post, the legendary Popstar is seen swaying to Dua Lipa's "Levitating," as she shows off two new bathing suits that she snagged at Target. One bikini was cherry red, while the other featured nautical blue and white stripes. Each look was topped off with a gold necklace, a black choker, oversized sunglasses, a floppy sun hat, and heels.
In her caption, Spears writes, "My favorite new baby blue bathing suit I wore in Maui is from @Target…. Girls, you gotta go there cause their suits are bomb!!!!"
After spilling her favorite place to grab a few bikinis, Britney gets candid about her 40th birthday and never losing her sense of style.
"Psss I'm going to be 40 this year and as Debbie says in This Is 40 I'm not ready to shop at old lady stores!!!" jokes Brit.
Additionally, earlier that day the star took to Instagram to write about getting locked in the bathroom.
She posted a photo of the bathroom door, and began her caption explaining, "At 2am I decided to take a bath !!!! I got a new scented lotion from Victoria's Secret and I wanted to wear it because it helps me sleep better !!!!"
She says that once out of the bath she realized the "lock was stuck" and she "got locked in the f***ing bathroom," while her boyfriend, Sam Ashgari was sleeping. She continued, "Even if there are earthquakes he doesn't wake up."
Eventually, Ashgari heard Spears calling for help and called security to help unlock the door, but Britney explains that security took a long time to arrive.
She notes, "I just looked at it for the first time with a yearning of just wanting it to open … would my eyes trick me and make it happen faster ??? My eyes widened and the door was more clear … more vast … I could see it with clarity and brightness … please open door."
The singer continues to explain the saga, telling her followers, "'We're here!' They said … I asked how long it would take to open … and they said "oh, maybe 10 minutes !!!! The old coffee I had left over from the morning was there … I started feeling foggy so I drank it ... I was reenergized and started speaking again!!! "Are you guys there ???" … "Yes we are!" They said, "Stand back, we're going to open the door!"
She ends her post by sharing, "It opened … it finally opened !!!!!"
