On Christmas Day, Lovato hopped on Instagram to show off their bold new buzzcut. While on FaceTime with photographer Angelo Kritikos, Demi showed off their best angles and fresh chop. Kritikos recorded Demi, and the artist shared the snippets of their new haircut on their feed.
Lovato captioned the post, “Shot on FaceTime by @angelokritikos #freshstart.” Throughout the edgy and glitchy video, Demi dons an all-black look, keeping the focus directly on their stunning cropped cut.

2021 was a full year for the “Met Him Last Night” singer. The artist released their seventh studio album, Dancing with the Devil…the Art of Starting Over, which marked Demi’s first full-length project since recovering from her 2018 overdose.
Alongside their album, Demi also released a four-part YouTube Originals docuseries, which chronicled the artist’s battle with addiction and recovery. Finally, while coming out as nonbinary and announcing their usage of they/them pronouns, Lovato launched their own podcast called 4D with Demi Lovato.
Demi recently shared, “What I’m encouraging people to do is just make choices for themselves… Autonomy, for me, is what changed my life.”
