The family first mentality is a prominent theme throughout all the films in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. However, it appears one cast member isn’t quite ready for another family reunion. Dwayne Johnson recently shot down rumors of his return to the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise after Vin Diesel publicly pleaded for the actor to come back and join the cast for the franchise’s final film.
Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have been feuding for years. It began while filming one of the many ‘Fast & Furious’ films, and though the two have claimed to have ended their feud in the past, it appears it has returned once again. Earlier this year, Vin Diesel took to social media to publicly ask Johnson to return to the franchise, and now Johnson has responded, though it likely wasn’t what Diesel wanted to hear.
“I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return,” said Johnson. He went on to say he privately let Diesel know about his plans, and was upset he made it public, calling it an “example of his manipulation,” according to NME. Sadly it appears Dwayne Johnson no longer wants to be a part of the family.
