Elizabeth Hurley's 2022 is off to a super start!
In a recent Instagram post, the 56-year-old sidestepped the traditional sparkly attire and welcomed the new year dressed as Supergirl instead.
The actress showed off her curves in the body-hugging dress while rocking a cape and fishnet tights. She opted for dramatic makeup with dark eyeliner that made her blue eyes pop.
However, she wasn’t the only superhero on hand to ring in the new year.
In a series of photos, “The Royals” star was seen cozying up to a mystery male who was dressed as Superman. In one photo, Hurley erupts in laughter as they roll around on the floor.
In line with the superhero trope, the star remained incognito by rocking a blonde wig with her costume.
"Supergirl vs Superman. Happy New Year everyone," she captioned the images.
Hurley’s festive shenanigans were joined by her lookalike son Damien, who posted on his own Instagram page that he attended the party dressed as Catwoman.
He commented on his mom's post with a simple: "Hahahahaha.”
Fans flocked to the comment section to admire and praise the “Gossip Girl” star.
“Definitely superwoman,” one fan wrote.
“Luckiest superman ever!” another commented, while a third made the obvious observation that “Supergirl and Superman are cousins.”

However, even with Supergirl’s powers, Hurley couldn’t make do without her orthopedic ankle boot, which was on display in a few of the photos.
The "Austin Powers" actress sprained her ankle recently while filming “Christmas in the Caribbean.”
According to Deadline, Hurley was cast as the lead in the romantic comedy about an “abandoned British bride, who spends December in the Caribbean with her bridesmaids as love blossoms.” She wrapped up filming on the tropical island earlier this month.
The ankle boot previously made an appearance in a series of sizzling photos posted on Christmas Day as Hurley rocked a revealing pink halter chainmail mini dress.
