Opening the door for an unexpected guest isn’t always the right decision for a homeowner. Sadly, one man in Florida had to learn that the hard way recently. However, instead of an intruder or a salesperson at his door, it was an alligator waiting there to attack.
Over the weekend, a man in Florida was taken to the hospital after he was bit by an alligator on his front porch. The man reportedly opened his front door after he heard a noise and thought it might be someone looking for his son. However, it turned out to be an alligator, which quickly lunged at the man biting his upper thigh.
According to Fox News, the man sustained non-life threatening injuries. Authorities were able to later trap the alligator and euthanize it. The man will definitely think twice next time he hears something outside his front door.
