Seeing JAY-Z on the VERZUZ stage would be a dream come true. There’s one problem though. Hov doesn’t think anyone could take him on.

JAY-Z took part in a conversation with Alicia Keys and Rob Markman on Twitter Spaces and was asked if he would ever go against someone on VERZUZ.
“No one can stand on that stage with me. It’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me,” Hov said. “You got to stand in front of the ‘GRAMMY Family Freestyle’ live? No one has ever even seen me perform that, you got to stand in front of that? That ain’t never going to happen.”

There was one source of opposition in the comments though as Lil Jon dropped in to give his take. “BUSTA WILL SMOKE [smoke emoji] JAY Z [popcorn emoji],” he wrote in support of Busta Rhymes.
There’s at least one rapper that wouldn’t mind going toe-to-toe with JAY-Z on VERZUZ. That would be Rick Ross.
“JAY-Z… Yeah! Why not?” Ross said in a recent interview when asked if there’s a rapper he’d like to go up against.
“To me, that’s what makes VERZUZ special because it brings out the best in both parties. That’s a possibility, but I gotta give my flowers to the big homie. I got to. My homie gave me my first opportunity signing me to Def Jam Records, and he’s one-of-one.”
