A New Orleans man made the most of a sticky situation when he found himself stuck in traffic for five hours on Tuesday.
When traffic came to a standstill on the Bonnet Carre Spillway on Tuesday following an accident, one man gathered up his fishing supplies and stood outside of his car on the side of the road to see if he could catch anything.
The accident involved two 18-wheelers, and 50-60 gallons of diesel spilled, leaving quite the mess to clean up.
Many affected by the traffic opted to simply wait in their cars, but this man got crafty, noticing that he was stopped just overtop of a lake.
It is unclear if the man was able to catch anything.
One woman who was also stuck in the traffic jam reported that her daughter missed her flight to Disney due to the wreck.
"We've been sitting here for more than 2 hours," Kristan said. "10-year-old missed her flight to Disney, 2-year-old getting restless... please please hurry!"
