The new clip begins with a trip back in time far from season three’s main location at the Starcourt Mall in Hawkins, Indiana.

As the teaser opens, a family of four is seen arriving in a green vintage car to a large home in what appears to be the 1950s. The house appears to be haunted as lights flicker, weird noises occur and an animal winds up dead. It gets more sinister as the two children are seen lying lifeless on the floor.

The clip fast forwards to the '80s, as Dustin (Galen Matarazzo), Steve (Joe Keery), Caleb (Lucas Sinclair), and Sadie (Max Mayfied) are seen breaking into the same house which has since become abandoned.

“Could you maybe clarify what sort of clues we should be looking for here?” Steve asks.

"The world is full of obvious things, which nobody by any chance ever observes," Dustin replies in a foreign accent, before revealing who he was quoting. "Sherlock Holmes."

According to the show, the haunted residence is known as “Creel House.”

Other cast members returning for season 4 include David Harbour (Jim), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Fin Wolfhard (Mike), Noah Schnapp (Will), and Winona Ryder (Joyce).

While a release date has yet to be announced, season 4 of “Stranger Things” will stream on Netflix in 2022.
