NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A few superheroes took a break from fighting crime on Tuesday to make a special delivery on Staten Island, New York.
Stop & Shop Home Delivery drivers stepped aside this morning to allow Spider-Man, Black Panther and Captain America to deliver some groceries to Rocco, a 3-year-old pediatric cancer survivor, and his family.

The Stop & Shop team said the family was “marveled” by the special delivery.

The three superheroes even stopped to take some photos with Rocco, who is currently the face of Stop & Shop’s Help Cure Childhood Cancer campaign.
They also presented the family with a comic-book themed cake.

The supermarket chain is running the campaign through March 31 to help raise money for pediatric cancer care.
During the campaign, in-store shoppers will have the option to donate during checkout, while online shoppers can donate while completing their order. All proceeds will benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund in Massachusetts, as well as MSK Kids, the pediatric program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Rocco is a patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He was previously diagnosed with stage-four high-risk neuroblastoma but, is currently in remission.

Stop & Shop’s Help Cure Childhood Cancer Campaign is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and has raised more than $25 million for Memorial Sloan Kettering.
