The docuseries features Lovato searching to uncover the truth about UFOs. During an episode filmed in the abandoned Arizona town of Vulture City, Lovato, their best friend, Matthew Scott, and paranormal investigator, Chris Smith, detect a spirit named Carmen inside a ruined brothel.

While using an EMF instrument to communicate with Carmen, Lovato asked, “Have you seen anything like ETs here, or UFOs? Star people?” Sensing the ghost was uncomfortable by the presence of her male friends, Demi asked, “Did you not want to say anything else because the boys were in here?”

“Oh, I get that a lot,” Demi responded after detecting a positive response from the EMF. “She has trauma, that's why she doesn't like men. I have trauma, too, so I feel you and I get it.”

Scott and Smith proceeded to leave the room, which left Demi alone with Carmen, prompting the 29-year-old to attempt and encourage the spirit with their song, “Skyscraper.”

Lovato claims they received a standing ovation after hearing three bursts of sounds from the EMF after their performance. “That's the coolest standing ovation I've ever had,” Demi responded in the moment.
