As many wine drinkers know; trying to open a bottle without an opener can be a difficult task. Luckily, a new viral video shows a strange, but effective way to open a bottle “when “in the middle of nowhere' without an opener. In the video, a man uses a shoe and a tree in order to pop the cork out of the bottle.
TikTok user Jamie Griff went viral recently for his wine hack tutorial for opening a bottle of wine without an opener or corkscrew. “I really like this way because it’s truly, you’re in the middle of nowhere, you have no tools, nothing except a shoe on your foot and a bottle of wine," says Griff in the video. As seen, he places the bottle in the shoe, and begins to bang it against the tree in order to remove the cork.
The video has since been viewed over 1.1 million times. While some claim to have already knew this trick, others were stunned that the bottle didn’t break, and actually was effective in removing the cork. With this new trick, wine openers are no longer needed.
