An argument over a video gaming system in a Michigan fast-food restaurant parking lot ended with a man laying dead on the concrete and his wife behind bars. And it all happened in front of their daughter.

Vinnice Dalanie Leon, 44 of Grand Haven, has been arrested and charged in the death of her husband Robert Leon.

According to police, the family was in a Wendy’s parking lot in Holland last week when Robert became enraged during an argument with Vinnice. The argument was over her purchase of a Nintendo Switch when he wanted a Playstation 5.

“He got really upset. I’ve never seen him fly off the handle like that. I’ve never seen him — I don’t know why he got so angry,” Vinnice Leon said, according to the website Law & Crime. “But then he started calling me names, and being very aggressive. He scared my daughter. She screamed at the top of her lungs, like scared cuz he was yelling at me. He slapped me and then he punched my arm. I told him, ‘You know, I can cancel the order; I can order the PS5.’”

Robert got out of the family’s 2009 Dodge Charger, but then allegedly began trying to break the window of the driver’s side door. Vinnice then started the car and began to leave without him, but he jumped onto the hood.

Robert subsequently fell off the car and suffered a severe brain bleed after striking his head on the pavement. He was later pronounced dead at Corewell Health Zeeland Hospital.

Vinnice Leon has been charged with one count of a moving violation resulting in death. She’s been released on a $1,000 bond.
