Ladies and Gentlemen, AC/DC is back.
The Australian rockers are set to make their long-awaited return with the release of their upcoming 17th studio album PWRUP. The record marks AC/DC's first since 2014 and promptly sent social media into a frenzy when they first teased the announcement.
Now, the boys are ready to give you a taste of the record with the new single "Shot in the Dark."
"Shot in the Dark" is a RADIO.COM World Premiere, which means you can hear it all day on Wednesday, October 7 starting at 12AM ET, on your favorite RADIO.COM rock station and on the RADIO.COM app.
PWRUP marks a reunion of sorts for AC/DC as Brian Johnson (vocals), Phil Rudd (drums), and Cliff Williams (bass) will once again join Angus Young (guitar) with a return to the band's Back in Black lineup. Longtime AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young's nephew Stevie Young will play rhythm guitar on the record.
Johnson was forced to leave the band's most recent Rock or Bust Tour in 2016 due to hearing issues. His doctors indicated he could potentially go completely deaf if he continued touring. Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose replaced Johnson for the remainder of the tour dates.
Back in 2018, rumors began circulating that Johnson had rejoined AC/DC as he was photographed outside the studio where the band was recording. With the announcement of the band's new album, Johnson's return to AC/DC has been made official.
