One bettor must have had a crystal ball back in September because that's when he or she laid down a $500 bet that Dalton would take home the honor.
The very small chances of Dalton winning went up after Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott was lost for the season after he suffered a gruesome ankle injury in Sunday's victory over the Giants.
Dalton's odds of winning were set at 300-1 when the bet was placed. Should the unthinkable happen, the bettor would take home a $150,000 profit.
I could think of 500 better ways to spend $500, but I digress.
