Having been without Simmons for the entirety of the 2021-22 season thus far, Joel Embiid and the Sixers are off to a 14-12 start. They are currently in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference, though Doc Rivers' team is just 3 1/2 games back of the conference-leading Brooklyn Nets.
