6 rings One-Off Wednesday: Combing through ESPN's bombshell report on Bill Belichick's job search, Robert Kraft's involvement
It took Bill Belichick just over four months on the proverbial unemployment line to land his next gig post-break-up with the Patriots.
It was announced on ESPN's Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that the six-time Super Bowl champion head coach will be joining the program's "Draft Spectacular" next Thursday during the NFL Draft.
"I’m looking forward to it," said Belichick in an appearance on Wednesday's show. "Draft day, draft weekend is always an exciting time for everybody — for the teams that are building their teams and for the fans and for everyone involved in it. It’s a great event and I’m looking forward to seeing it from the other side. It will fun to be in Detroit, be with you guys, and get your expertise."
It was also reported on Wednesday by ESPN's Seth Wickersham, Don Van Natta, and Jeremy Fowler that "in the coming weeks, Belichick is expected to sign a deal to do analysis for Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, which produces ESPN's ‘ManningCast’ during Monday Night Football."
Needless to say, even though he's not among the 32 head coaches who will be pacing the sidelines on Sundays, there will still be plenty of Belichick in the football future.
