Recent rumors have linked Saquon Barkley to the Eagles, but Boomer wants to see the Giants’ star running back go to another hated divisional rival.
“Honestly, I’m going to the Cowboys,” Boomer said. “That would be unbelievable.
“I think there’s gotta be a tinge of ‘I’m not truly appreciated around here….we don’t win, let me go down there and play in that offense.’”
Boomer has long maintained that Barkley should look to sign elsewhere and join a team that gives him a better chance to win before his prime years are behind him, and the Cowboys were a team that entered the postseason as a contender last season. Add Barkley to that mix, and maybe they take the next step.
“Seeing him in a Dallas Cowboy uniform,” Boomer said. “I think that would be great for him, honestly.”
