Bud Dupree wanted for questioning after alleged altercation at pharmacy: report

The Tennessee Titans clinched the AFC South crown in Week 17, trouncing the Miami Dolphins to the tune of a 34-3 victory. D'Onta Foreman stole the show, with 132 rushing yards and a score in a day that was defined by the running game and stout defense.

But outside linebacker Bud Dupree appeared in the headlines following Week 17's game not for his defensive performance but for an alleged altercation that occurred later that night.

Dupree is currently wanted for questioning, though no charges have been filed against him, after the reported incident (via Grant Gordon of NFL.com). The police were called to a Walgreens in Nashville on Sunday night, following an alleged dispute between Dupree and a male employee who began filming Dupree with his phone. According to the police, a 20-year-old male employee was treated for a cut to his forehead, while a 21-year-old female employee was treated for a cut to her hand. By the time police had arrived, however, Dupree and those who were alleged to have been with him had departed.

"We are aware of the situation and are gathering additional information," the Titans said in a statement.

After a strong run with the Steelers, resulting in 25 sacks, eight passes deflected and seven forced fumbles from 2018 to 2020, Dupree was one of the biggest names on the free agent market entering the 2021 season. Tennessee signed him to a splashy five-year, $82.5 million deal in March of 2021, though he hasn't lived up to that hefty contract to this point. In 10 games, he has 3.0 sacks and one forced fumble, and he's missed some time with knee issues in the same knee that was affected by a torn ACL in 2020.
