Cavs forward Tristan Thompson suspended 25 games for violating NBA Anti-Drug policy

The 32-year-old was playing his tenth season for the Cavaliers.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson has been suspended 25 games by the NBA for violating the league's anti-drug program. Thompson, 32, tested positive for ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033, per press release from the NBA.

The Cavaliers forward is averaging 3.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.4 minutes per game with the team this season. He was signed by the team prior to the season on September 12.

For his career, he averages 8.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He is playing in his tenth season with the team, including being a member of the 2015-16 NBA Championship roster.

Thompson will begin his suspension immediately, starting with the Cavaliers Wednesday matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks.
