DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The holdout from Dallas Cowboys star offensive guard Zack Martin is reportedly over, with the two parties agreeing to a new deal on Monday afternoon.

Martin confirmed the reports on X, formally Twitter, on Monday afternon.

Martin had been reportedly unhappy with his contract situation with the team, did not join the Cowboys to Oxnard at the beginning of camp, as he angled for a new deal that would put him amongst the NFL's highest paid guards.

The deal will reportedly pay him more than $18 million in each of the next two seasons. In 2018, Martin signed a six-year extension in 2018, and was set to make $13.5 million per year.

Now, he will be earning more than $8.5 million in fully guaranteed additional salary combined over the next two seasons.

"We have nothing but respect for whatever decision Zack Martin makes," Jones said of the situation earlier in camp. "Zack is under contract, and hell that's why you live in America. You want to make more money. I have nothing but respect from Zack. And we'll just continue to grind out here. I will say this, of all the people who don't need to be out here at training camp, he might be at the top of the list."

Martin, an eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro selection, has played and started in 137 games over nine seasons with Dallas, becoming one of the NFL's top offensive linemen of the last decade.

After all, with Martin in the lineup, the Cowboys are 82-55 all-time. And without him, they are below .500.
