Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has played like an MVP this season, but he was the first to admit that he didn't have his best performance following Sunday night's 33-13 drubbing of the Eagles.
"I'm my biggest critic. Obviously, not my best game. ... The defense played their asses off, (Brandon) Aubrey was great. Obviously, did enough to win, but (I) always want to be better."
While Prescott missed a few throws and allowed a fumble that resulted in an Eagles touchdown, he still had a solid night overall, completing 24 of his 39 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the solid outing, Prescott couldn't help but be critical of his own performance, believing that had he played better, Dallas would have scored more points on Sunday night than they had in any other game this season.
"I hold myself to super-high standards. If I play my best game, we're putting up 50 (points) out there. That's not going to change. I'm going to keep pushing for that. That's the work I put into this thing. They did a great job on defense. Don't get me wrong. That's a good team over there. They did a great job and had a good plan. ... As I said, I did enough to win, but because my expectations are to (win a Super Bowl), I always want to play to my best."
With Prescott at the helm, Dallas has put up at least 40 points six times this season.
