(670 The Score) The Cubs have agreed to a trade to acquire righty reliever Eli Morgan from the Guardians, Jeff Passan of ESPN reported Wednesday.
Morgan, 28, posted a 1.93 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 32 appearances across 42 innings in 2024. He has a 3.97 ERA in four MLB seasons.
The Cubs are expected to send a prospect in Class-A back to the Guardians in the trade, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reported.
In another roster move Wednesday, the Cubs have designated infielder Patrick Wisdom for assignment, according to reports.
