Myles Garrett to the Lions? Amon-Ra St. Brown is on board.

"I should probably text Brad (Holmes) and see what they’re thinking about doing. Him and Aidan (Hutchinson) and Alim (McNeill) and DJ (Reader) and all of our D-line, bro, I swear, if you have a D-line that’s nasty, you don’t need any corners," St. Brown said this week on his podcast. "You don’t need anything. Just play off."

Garrett has requested a trade from the Browns to join a contender, and the Lions look like a natural fit. They have the cap space, the draft picks and, if necessary, the young talent to facilitate a trade for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. They also have an obvious need at his position opposite Hutchinson, who was having a Defensive Player of the Year-caliber season himself before he fractured his leg in October.

St. Brown said he's "not sure" if the Lions are going to pursue Garrett, but acknowledged that "of course he could've" helped them in the playoffs. I think a lot of guys could've helped us in the playoffs. We were down numbers, we were hurt, a lot of injuries."

"Myles Garrett and Aidan, oh my god," said St. Brown. "Even during the year we were thinking like, Maxx Crosby and Aidan would be nuts. But I think he’s probably going to be a Raider for life."

The Browns have said they aren't inclined to trade Garrett, but as St. Brown said, "I feel like if you offer the right stuff they’ll trade him. The right stuff is always high draft picks. That’s always the answer. ... Draft picks and then the other team takes on his contact, or you can extend him, however you want to do it."

St. Brown scoffed at the notion of a Hutchinson-for-Garrett swap: "Nah, f**k no. Bro, Aidan’s not going anywhere. He’s about to get locked up, in three months, Lion for life."

Perhaps by then, Garrett will join him in Detroit.
