Blake Corum isn't done at Michigan. After suffering a knee injury in November that derailed his potential Heisman-caliber season, the star running back announced Monday that he has "decided to return for another season."
Corum, who rushed for 1,349 yards and 17 touchdowns in 10 games before tearing his meniscus in Michigan's penultimate regular season game against Illinois, was projected to be a Day 2 pick in the NFL Draft. Instead, he'll run it back in 2023 in hopes of re-building his draft stock following knee surgery and winning the national championship that has eluded the Wolverines the past two seasons.
"My goals have always been about leaving an enduring legacy at the winningest program in the history of college football," Corum said. "Motivated by my profound love for Michigan and commitment to my education, I have decided to return for another season. It’s an honor to be a student-athlete at the University of Michigan!"
