Downtown Detroit is getting dressed up for the NFL Draft, which comes to town next week.
The theatre in Cadillac Square is close to complete, with a viewing grandstand set up across the street in Campus Martius. The streets are adorned with NFL regalia. Even the Q Line and the People Mover are wrapped in draft promos.
And overseeing the action is Aidan Hutchinson, featured on a giant mural on the side of the Cadillac Tower. The mural of the Lions star defensive end went up Monday.
Above the image of Hutchinson, the second overall pick in the 2022 draft and a Pro Bowler last season, are the words, "Dreams get made here."
The Lions hold the No. 29 pick next Thursday night, where they could select a pass rusher like Chop Robinson or Canton native Darius Robinson to pair with Hutchinson moving forward.
