Lions could be down Alim McNeill and Frank Ragnow

The Lions might get one key player back this week, while losing two others.

Linebacker and co-captain Alex Anzalone could return to the lineup Sunday against the Bears after missing last week's win over the Saints with a hand injury he suffered in the Thanksgiving loss to the Packers.

“I think there’s a chance, yeah, I do," Dan Campbell said Monday.

On the other hand, it sounds like the Lions will be without starting center Frank Ragnow and starting defensive tackle Alim McNeill in Chicago.

Ragnow, who has a lingering toe injury from last season, left the Saints game with a knee injury. On the bright side, it's not as serious as the Lions originally feared. Dan Campbell said the team "got good news" on Ragnow's status after initial testing.

"But that doesn’t mean that he’s going to be available this week," Campbell said.

Graham Glasgow, who slid over to center last week with Colby Sorsdal moving in for Glasgow at guard, would fill in for Ragnow again.

McNeill managed to play his typical share of the defensive snaps against the Saints, but was clearly hobbled while wearing a brace on his right knee. At one point, he had to limp off the field.

"Yeah, look, Mac’s a little banged up," Campbell said. "We’ll know more on him in I would say a couple of days, so there’s a chance he may not be up either.”

McNeill has been one of the Lions' only consistently disruptive defensive linemen this season, along with Aidan Hutchinson. His absence would leave a void up front.
