Lions fans showed out in force Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium, and stuck around to bask in the team's win.
They were greeted by several players after Detroit's 21-20 upset of the defending Super Bowl champs, including Jared Goff, Aidan Hutchinson and Jahmyr Gibbs, the latter of whom did a Lambeau-like leap into their arms.
And eventually, they were greeted by the man who made it possible: GM Brad Holmes. The fans showered Holmes with love as he made his way down the line, and he gave it right back. He was so fired-up he couldn't help but flex.
"These guys are amazing," Holmes said on the field after the game. "I’ve always said, One Pride is the best fanbase in the world. I remember, they came out against Green Bay (in last season's finale), they were even more intense tonight. This was a total team win."
In a red-clad crowd, blue was the dominant color at the end of the night. His heart still racing after the win, Holmes beamed and said, "I'll sleep later!"
"So proud of the guys, so proud of the whole organization. And these fans were just incredible," he said. "Incredible."
