It appears the Lions have dodged a major injury bullet early in the season.

Star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown should be fine after suffering a leg injury in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. St. Brown briefly left the game in the third quarter after taking a shot to the quad on a catch near the goal line --and then again came out of the game on the Lions' final drive -- but the initial diagnosis is "a contusion and cramping," according to Adam Schefter.

That jibes with Dan Campbell's update after the game that St. Brown is "alright" and the Lions "don't think it's anything long-term."

St. Brown made two more catches for 18 yards after being tended to by trainers in the third quarter, finishing with 11 catches on 19 targets for 119 yards. It was a bounce-back performance for the All-Pro receiver after he was held to three catches for 13 yards in the Lions' season-opening win over the Rams.

The Lions will know more about St. Brown's status as the week unfolds, but the initial outlook is encouraging.
