The Lions are hosting a potential first-round quarterback ahead of the NFL Draft.

Tennessee's Hendon Hooker is flying to Detroit Monday for a top-30 visit with the Lions on Tuesday, according to NFL Network.

The Lions boast picks Nos. 6 and 18 in the first round and GM Brad Holmes has been clear about his intention to upgrade the quarterback position behind starter Jared Goff.

"We need to add some pieces in that room overall," Holmes said at the combine. "Whether it’s in free agency or in the draft, we gotta get somebody to continue to develop."

Could that wind up being Hooker? He threw 58 touchdowns to five picks and piled up 6,000-plus passing yards and 1,000-plus rushing yards over his final two seasons at Tennessee. Then again, he's 25 years old and coming off a torn ACL.

The Lions have also reportedly made a 'strong contract offer' to veteran free agent Teddy Bridgewater.
