Jameson Williams is back in the building, rejoining the Lions for Monday's team meeting on the heels of their Week 3 win over the Falcons. He just won't be allowed back at practice until Week 7 following the conclusion of his six-game suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy.

"Until further notice, he can’t practice with us or anything, but it’s good to have him back," Dan Campbell said Monday. "He was in the team meeting. It was good to see him and be around the teammates, so we’ll see what we can do."

Williams was barred from the Lions' facility for the first three weeks of his suspension. Per league rules, he's still prohibited from participating in -- or even observing -- practices and group workouts. He also can't attend games or speak with the media.

He can receive medical treatment from the Lions, which is noteworthy after Williams missed the end of training camp and the final two preseason games with a hamstring injury. Asked about Williams' injury Monday, Campbell said, "He's good."

As for whether Williams, 22, can practice individually at the facility the next three weeks, Campbell said Lions president Rod Wood is looking into it with the NFL.

"We’re trying to work through a few things there. Rod's working on that right now, so we’ll see. We’re going to do everything we can, and it’s just good to have him back," Campbell said.

The Lions are still counting on the former No. 12 pick to play a major role in their offense this season. The team is 2-1 ahead of a trip to Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football.
