Remember that Brian Branch video narrated by Louis Riddick that NFL Films posted on X and then deleted? Jared Goff sure does.

The clip that went viral last month and subjected Riddick to sharp criticism in the Lions' locker room was from the show Turning Point. It spotlighted Branch on the night that he lost his cool against the Chiefs and took a shot at JuJu Smith-Schuster on the field after Detroit's loss, for which Branch would be suspended. Lions veteran defensive tackle DJ Reader said he might not "have a conversation with Louis Riddick or somebody like that ever again."

On Tuesday, Goff was asked about his interaction in the Lions' win over the Commanders this past Sunday with Washington defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw, who got in Goff's face after jumping offside one play before Jahmyr Gibbs scored a 13-yard touchdown to give Lions a 22-3 lead in the second quarter.

"I don't know what he was really saying," Goff said on 97.1 The Ticket. "He jumped offsides, I told him he jumped offsides, he said 'I know.' And I don't know why he was so excited about jumping offsides, but he was. And that was before they punched St. Brown in the face, so I can’t wait to see Louis Riddick break that one day for us this week on Turning Point."

Shots fired.

After Gibbs' touchdown, Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne slugged Amon-Ra St. Brown in the facemask, stemming from a feud between the two of them a few plays earlier. Payne was ejected and has been suspended one game by the NFL, the same punishment that Branch received for his incident in Kansas City.

Kinlaw said after the game that St. Brown swung at Payne first, while St. Brown said that he and Payne had been in "a little scuffle" a couple plays prior "and then we end up scoring and I go up to him, I say a little something, nothing crazy, and then he decides to swing on me. So it is what it is."
