The Lions lost Jonah Jackson to a knee injury in their divisional round win over the Bucs, but could get him back if they make it to the Super Bowl.
The Lions starting left guard underwent surgery for a slight meniscus tear and is unlikely to play in Sunday's NFC championship game against the 49ers, per ESPN. But should the Lions win in San Francisco, Jackson could be back on the field two weeks later in Vegas.
Jackson's absence was notable against the Buccaneers. He had allowed zero quarterback pressures in 18 pass-blocking snaps prior to his injury. Kayode Awosika replaced him and allowed five pressures in 28 pass-blocking snaps. He also wasn't nearly as effective as Jackson as a run blocker.
But the Lions offense eventually came to life in the second half, scoring 14 fourth quarter points in their 31-23 win.
