Kerby Joseph, a man of the people.
When a Lions fan went viral for laughing in the face of an unhappy Packers fan on national TV at the NFL Draft, Joseph got such a kick out of it that he asked for help identifying the Lions fan so that he could send him a gift.
And what a gift he sent.
Kizito Katende, a 25-year-old from Canton, wound up with the pair of cleats Joseph was wearing when he picked off Aaron Rodgers twice in the Lions' 15-9 win over the Packers in 2022 for the first two interceptions of his career.
And a signed card that included a piece of Joseph's jersey and a photo of his third career pick of Rodgers later that season on Rodgers' final pass a Packer.
And a personal note in which Joseph thanked Katende for making him laugh on draft night. Yeah, a gift that came with a thank-you note.
Even the Packers fan who shared Joseph's gesture on X had to admit "even though I'm supposed to hate him ... Idk how I can after this."
Well played, Kerby.
