The Lions lost Alex Anzalone to what appeared to be an arm injury late in their Thanksgiving loss to the Packers, and might not get him back soon.

"Alex could be a little bit, that’s possible," Dan Campbell said Monday, adding the Lions will know more on Tuesday.

Anzalone is in the midst of the best season of his career, leading the Lions in tackles and playing well in coverage. The linebacker and co-captain is the glue of Detroit's defense, so his absence would be a blow to the team in the short-term. Rookie Jack Campbell would likely see a bigger role.

Anzalone, 29, hasn't missed a game for the Lions in two years, but battled shoulder injuries earlier in his career, including toward the end of his first season in Detroit.

On the other side of the ball, guard Jonah Jackson has missed the last two games with a wrist injury and it doesn't sound like he's close to a return.

"I’m assuming Jonah’s not playing until he tells me he’s playing, and then I’ll know," Campbell said.

Jackson is one of the lynchpins of the Lions' offensive line, which struggled last Thursday against the Packers.
