The Lions were bit badly by the injury bug in their Week 3 win over Arizona.
The latest victim is Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow, who suffered a partially torn pec early in the Lions' 20-13 win, per Ian Rapoport, and is considered week to week.
Ragnow being Ragnow, he stayed in the game and helped the Lions rush for nearly 200 yards in a bounce-back performance for the offensive line after last week's loss to the Bucs.
On the bright side for Ragnow and the Lions, the injury is not believed to be season-ending and "he could be back soon," per Rapoport.
Detroit will likely slide guard Graham Glasgow into Ragnow's spot in the interim, as they did when Ragnow missed time last season. Glasgow has the experience at center to handle the job. The bigger question might be who steps in for Glasgow.
Ragnow, 28, has played through numerous injuries in the NFL, most notably a fractured throat in 2020. He's also battled a chronic toe injury since 2021, on top of knee and back issues last season.
He entered this season feeling better than he has in years after allowing his body ample time to heal in the offseason, so this setback is likely all the more frustrating for one of Detroit's best players.
The Lions also lost defensive end Marcus Davenport to a likely season-ending elbow injury and linebacker Derrick Barnes for a significant amount of time with a knee injury in their win in Arizona.
Tight end Sam LaPorta (ankle), defensive tackle Alim McNeill (shoulder) and safety Brian Branch (concussion protocol) also came out of the game with health concerns, but shouldn't be down for long.
