Only two players remain from Bob Quinn's final draft class in Detroit, and it might soon be one.

The Lions have released offensive lineman Logan Stenberg, according to ESPN. He had been bumped down the depth chart this offseason by the Lions' signing of guard Graham Glasgow, then passed this summer by rookie fifth-round pick Colby Sorsdal, among others. Stenberg would have been a third-string interior lineman, at best.

A fourth-round pick, Stenberg was one of nine players drafted by Quinn and Matt Patricia in 2020. He's the fourth to be moved out by Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell this offseason, along with first-rounder Jeff Okudah, second-rounder D'Andre Swift and fifth-rounder Quintez Cephus. Third-rounder Julian Okwara could soon be a fifth; the defensive end isn't a good bet to make the roster out of camp.

Third-rounder Jonah Jackson, a Pro Bowl guard, would be all that remained. Late-round picks Jason Huntley, John Penisini and Jashon Cornell had already flopped.

Asked about Stenberg on Wednesday, Lions offensive line coach Hank Fraley said, "He’s out there competing every day. It’s about putting it together, the consistency of the play. We have asked him to play center and guard this year more than in the past, so he's definitely versatile for us. So just go out there and put it together, back to back plays, back to back days."

A day later, Stenberg's days in Detroit are over.
