The Lions continue plugging their biggest hole in the first week of the new league year.
The club has agreed to a two-year, $9.25 million deal with former Raiders cornerback Amik Robertston, per the NFL Network.
Robertson, whose deal is worth up to $10.75 million with incentives, is the third corner the Lions have added in the last week, joining returner Emmanuel Moseley and trade acquisition Carlton Davis III.
The four-year vet, who turns 26 this summer, had 15 passes defended and four picks over his final two seasons with the Raiders, without missing a game. He allowed a passer rating in coverage last season of 85.7, per Pro Football Focus.
Robertson, 5'8, played mostly on the outside for the Raiders, but showed the versatility to also line up in the slot. He should give the Lions another flexible matchup piece in the secondary along with Brian Branch. Davis III, Moseley and Cam Sutton are more prototypical outside corners.
The Lions are aiming to fix a secondary that gave up the second most yards per attempt and sixth most yards per game to opposing quarterbacks last season.
