It appears the Lions are making a push for the playoffs. Coming off two straight wins to get back in the race, the team has acquired four-time Pro Bowl DE Everson Griffen in a trade with the Cowboys.
Detroit will send Dallas a conditional sixth-round pick, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Griffen, 32, signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys this past offseason after playing for the Vikings from 2010-2019. He has 2.5 sacks in seven games this season.
He'll boost a pass rush in Detroit that ranks 28th in the NFL with just eight sacks in six games.
The Lions will pick up the remainder of his salary, according to Rapoport.
