He's double-vaccinated. He wears a mask. Nevertheless, Sanders has tested positive for the virus, he announced Friday on Twitter.
The legendary Lions running back says he doesn't have any symptoms but is "staying in until I get the green light from the Docs."
Sanders, who works as an ambassador for the Lions, says he'll "be ready to go" for the season opener against the 49ers at Ford Field on Sept. 12.
The Hall of Famer turned 53 last month.
