It's been three year since the Lions produced an All-Pro, seven years since they produced an All-Pro on offense.

Center Frank Ragnow and punter Jack Fox snapped those droughts this season.

Ragnow and Fox both earned second-team AP All-Pro honors, it was announced on Friday. The honors are well-deserved.

In a season where very little went right for the Lions, the offensive line was a bright spot. Ragnow anchored that unit despite suffering a fractured throat in Week 14. The 2018 first-round pick has established himself as one of the best centers in the NFL and a building block for Detroit.

"I think our position group had a really good year," left tackle Taylor Decker said this week. "I would say in the five years (that I've been here) this is the best we played consistently, and I think we have some really good pieces to build on."

Ragnow did miss two games due to his throat injury, but returned to play 100 percent of the snaps on offense -- per usual -- in Detroit's season finale. Corey Linsley of the Packers took home first-team honors at center.

Fox might have been the biggest revelation of 2020 for the Lions. Signed off the Chiefs' practice squad at the end of the 2019 season, he won the punting job in training camp this year and went on to break franchise records for average gross yards (49.1) and average net yards (44.8).

Both numbers were NFL records in a punter's first season. Jack Bailey of the Patriots got the first-team nod.

The last Lions to earn AP All-Pro honors were Darius Slay and return man Jamal Agnew in the 2017 season. The team's last offensive player was Calvin Johnson in 2013.
