Just as we suspected, Deshaun Watson put the final nail in Matt Patricia's coffin with a lights-out performance on Thanksgiving. And he also buried Bob Quinn in the process.
The firings of Patricia and Quinn on Saturday finally gave Lions fans something to be grateful for after three years of losing football.
And to express their gratitude, they are flooding Watson's charity with donations, according to NFL Network.
As of Sunday morning, Lions fans had given $1070 and counting to the Deshaun Watson Foundation, which, according to its website, is committed to "education, health, housing and other charitable causes that support families and youth in underserved communities."
It gets better: many of the donations have been in the amount of $13 in, uhm, "honor" of Patricia's 13 wins in 43 games in Detroit.
It gets better still: Watson will match the donations, according to NFL Network, "providing the first 100 with free lunch at Lefty's in Detroit, the same restaurant that catered the Texans' pregame meal on Wednesday night."
Free cheesesteaks? And a conclusion to the worst era of Lions football?
Deshaun Watson, a true man of the people.
