The Lions' new regime views linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin as one of the 'core guys' of their rebuild.
So it comes as no surprise that they're bringing him back with a raise.
Detroit has re-signed Reeves-Maybin to a one-year, $2.3 million deal, according to Ian Rapoport. The 2017 fourth-round pick had a base salary of $850,000 last season.
Reeves-Maybin didn't play much in Matt Patricia's defense, but that might change under a new coaching staff. He's on the smaller side for his position, but has the quickness to make plays.
Either way, he'll be a valuable asset on special teams, where he led Detroit in snaps in 2020.
