Yes, Jameson Williams should play this season for the Lions. No, it won't be all that soon.

A week after saying that Williams has "turned the corner over the last month" as he recovers from the torn ACL he suffered in the national championship at Alabama, Dan Campbell said Wednesday that it will likely be at least another month before the 12 overall pick makes his NFL debut.

"We feel like we’re going to have him before this season’s out. It’s hard to say when that’s going to be. I would say at least probably another month, but I do feel like we’re going to get him before this is said and done," Campbell said.

The Lions drafted Williams where they did to be a key piece of their future. They won't rush him back on the field to salvage anything in the present. Still, it's disappointing for everyone involved that the game-breaking wide receiver remains sidelined eight weeks into the season.

"There’s still hope," said Campbell. "There again, he’s put together a pretty good month, a real good month."

Maybe, Williams will make his Lions debut on Thanksgiving. Who says no?
