Wherever the Lions go, their fans follow. The latest Honolulu Blue wave crested and crashed last Sunday in Houston, where the Lions left town with a thrilling 26-23 victory.

The visiting fans were so loud that they forced the Texans' offense into a false start in the fourth quarter as Detroit mounted its comeback. Houston punted two plays later and the Lions tied the game on the ensuing drive.

Jared Goff chuckled to himself and said Tuesday on 97.1 The Ticket, "They did cause that false start. It was impressive, it really is. It's hard to believe and wrap your head around. But our fans are the best in the world. I'm so lucky to play here in front of them. The support they show me and show us is second to none, and getting them on the road like that is truly unbelievable."

It's not a surprise at this point to anyone on Detroit's sideline. Lions fans have been invading enemy territory since the season opener last year in Kansas City. Dan Campbell went out of his way Monday afternoon to mention "one more time, man, our fans are unbelievable the way they're traveling right now."

"I heard them in the fourth and I try not to pay attention to any of that, but it was noticeable with their offense out there, and the false start was critical that was forced," he said. "I can't say enough good things about our guys, our fans."

The Lions are 5-0 on the road this season, with four wins over current playoff teams. After playing four of their last five games away from Ford Field, four of their next five are at home, culminating in a potential Super Bowl preview in Week 15 against the Bills.

"We get one in front of them this week (for the first time) in what feels like forever," said Goff, "so it'll be fun to be back in Ford Field."
