When he looks into the crowd during road games, Jared Goff has grown accustomed to seeing scads of Honolulu blue. He says Lions fans outdid themselves with last week's invasion of Glendale Stadium.

"Yeah, that one was insane," Goff said Wednesday on 97.1 The Ticket. "It really was. It was really cool to see. Running out of the tunnel, usually you get booed. That was the first one I’ve ever experienced where we were getting cheered."

The Lions treated their traveling fans to a 20-13 win over the Cardinals in their first road game of the season.

"And it was loud," said Goff. "It did feel like a home game at times. We’ve had a lot of good blue waves, and that one may be at the top of the list up to this point. I’m excited to see it keep going."

Detroit fans made takeovers a routine during the Lions' run to the NFC title game last season, especially in places like Tampa Bay, Los Angeles and even New Orleans -- where the Saints typically enjoy one of the best home-field advantages in the NFL.

The Lions' next road game is Week 6 in Dallas, a house of horrors for the team in the past. Another wave can be expected.

Goff also told the backstory on Wednesday of the Lions' hook-and-ladder touchdown against the Cardinals that went from Goff to Amon-Ra St. Brown to Jahmyr Gibbs. He said offensive coordinator Ben Johnson drew it up during OTA's and dubbed it "Shake and Bake."

"Stole it right from Talladega Nights," said Goff. "We’ve been cooking that one for quite some time. I think we started doing it in OTA's. Brainchild of Ben. He brought it to me one day and was like, ‘You think we could do this?’ I’m like, ‘Hell yeah we could do that,'" said Goff.

He said the Lions have repped it 10 to 20 times in practice, "so when it came up in the game, it was really like clockwork just getting it done."
