If nothing else, Dan Campbell's coaching staff in Detroit will lead the NFL in playing experience.
Campbell, a former tight end himself, has already hired Aaron Glenn as defensive coordinator, Anthony Lynn as offensive coordinator and Duce Staley as assistant head coach. A former Pro Bowl cornerback and two former running backs.
And now Campbell's eyeing a former Pro Bowl quarterback.
Longtime Jaguars QB Mark Brunell is interviewing with the Lions to be quarterbacks coach, according to Ian Rapoport. Brunnel, who was teammates with Campbell for one season in New Orleans, is currently a radio host of the Mark Brunell Show in Jacksonville.
The Lions are searching for someone to replace former quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan, who left this offseason to take the same job with the Panthers. Ryan had been with Detroit since 2019.
Whoever lands the job will have a big role in grooming the Lions' next franchise quarterback, who's likely to arrive this offseason.
