Report: Lions' Emmanuel Moseley out indefinitely with torn pec

Emmanuel Moseley can’t seem to catch a break.

After signing with the Lions last offseason, the veteran cornerback missed the entire year with a torn ACL —- his second in as many seasons.

Now it appears he’s going to miss more time after tearing his pec during preseason practice, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

A timeline on his return was not immediately clear, though a torn pec suffered in Week 2 last season kept Detroit’s C.J. Gardner-Johnson out until Week 17.

Coach Dan Campbell said “nothing says that he may not be ready by the end of the year” and noted the team is still “figuring things out,” according to a report from The Detroit Free Press.

"That's tough. He's the one that’s put so much work coming back from two ACL’s. It's frustrating, but he knows. Look, you’ve got two decisions, you either rally one more time, or you say, you know what, enough is enough. My gut is going to tell me he’s going to rally again,” Campbell said, according to the report.

Moseley was expected to play a big role in the Lions’ secondary last season prior to the injury. He arrived from San Francisco, where he racked up four interceptions and 127 tackles over parts of the past four seasons.

News of his injury comes a day after rookie CB Terrion Arnold was reportedly being evaluated for a concussion following a chippy joint practice with the Giants.
