As a first-time head coach -- aside from an interim stint in 2015 -- with no play-calling experience, Dan Campbell has two big hires to make at offensive and defensive coordinator.
He's already made the latter: former Saints defensive backs coach Aaron Glenn.
And it looks like he's got a target for the former. The Lions interviewed Ravens quarterbacks coach James Urban for their OC job on Wednesday, according to the NFL Network.
And a couple Lions receivers seem intrigued. Marvin Jones and Mohamed Sanu, both of whom played under Urban when he was the wide receivers coach of the Bengals and both of whom are set to be free agents, reacted to the news on Twitter.
Urban, 47, has been the quarterbacks coach in Baltimore since 2018, the duration of Lamar Jackson's career. Jackson went from a spare part on offense in his first season to the NFL MVP the next. He had another strong season this year.
Urban was the receivers coach of the Bengals from 2011-17 and the quarterbacks coach of the Eagles for two years before that. He broke into the NFL coaching ranks as an assistant in Philadelphia in 2004.
Another candidate for the Lions' OC job figures to be Darrell Bevell, who has held the position for the past two seasons. Matthew Stafford has the highest two-year passer rating of his career over that span.
