The Lions' latest loss was a costly one.
Not only did they drop below .500 after being drubbed by the Colts, but they lost two stars to injury.
Kenny Golladay left the game in the second quarter with a hip injury and could miss several weeks. And Matt Patricia announced Monday that Trey Flowers is being placed on short-term injured reserve and will miss at least the next three games.
Flowers had been nursing a wrist injury earlier this season and played a season-low 38 defensive snaps against the Colts, but Patricia said the injury he suffered Sunday was a new one.
"Some of the snap reduction was just because he had been playing a lot of snaps and we're always conscious that Trey puts his entire body on the line every single play," Patricia said. "This was a new injury that happened (Sunday)."
Flowers has two sacks, two forced fumbles and 22 tackles in seven games this season. He'll be eligible to return for Detroit's Thanksgiving game against the Texans.
The club's next three games come against the Vikings, Redskins and Panthers.
